Dr. Rao received his medical degree from Stanley Medical College at the University of Madras in India. After completing his residency in general surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Dr. Rao moved to Detroit, where he completed two fellowships: One in trauma surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, and another in vascular and endovascular surgery at Wayne State University. Dr. Rao is dual board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery.
